Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 16, 2026
Mokvi helps you keep a personal moka pot brewing notebook. This policy describes the data used by the app and its online services. For privacy requests, contact Mokvi@gmail.com.
Information we use
- Device account: a randomly generated device identifier, stored in your device Keychain and app storage, is used to resume your session and handle account requests. A separate random session secret stays in your Keychain; the service stores only its hash to authorize account actions. We do not ask for your email or password to sign in.
- Brewing notebook: pot and bean profiles, brew settings, tasting notes, photos, voice notes, comparison data, and card designs are stored on your device. They are not uploaded as part of ordinary notebook use.
- Purchases: for coin purchases, we process the product ID, Apple transaction ID, purchase receipt, and order reference to verify delivery and prevent duplicate credit. Apple handles payment details; Mokvi does not receive your card number or Apple ID password.
- Service requests: our hosting and account services may receive your IP address, device identifier, app version, and request time when the app loads images, opens these pages, signs in, or validates a purchase.
How information is used
We use the device identifier to maintain your session, purchase details to verify and credit coins, and request data to operate and secure the service. Coin balances and purchase history are also kept locally so the app can prevent the same transaction from adding coins twice. Mokvi does not use advertising tracking or cross-app profiling.
Photos, microphone, and local storage
Camera, photo library, and microphone access is requested only when you choose a related feature. Your captured brew photos and spoken tasting notes remain in the app's local storage. You may deny a permission, although the related capture feature will then be unavailable. Some app artwork is delivered from Cloudflare Pages; your personal photos are not part of those static assets.
Service providers
Apple processes in-app purchases. Cloudflare hosts static artwork and these policy pages. The account and purchase verification service handles session and transaction requests. These services process information only as needed to provide their respective functions and under their own privacy terms.
Retention and deletion
Brewing entries and associated media stay on your device until you delete them, delete your account in the app, or remove the app. Signing out keeps your local notebook; deleting the account clears it. Account deletion requests the removal of associated server session data. Purchase records may be kept where required for payment, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Keychain data may survive app removal; the app reuses it to avoid creating a second device identity unless both Keychain and app storage are empty.
Your choices
You can review or remove individual brews, sign out, or delete the account in the app. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of service data, email Mokvi@gmail.com. You may also manage camera, photo, and microphone permissions in iOS Settings.
Security, children, and changes
We use encrypted HTTPS connections and reasonable access controls. Mokvi is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes and will update the date on this page. Contact us at Mokvi@gmail.com with questions.
